Black & White is really the only color for a picture like this!
Product picture of Voss Model S-24, courtesy of the Calouste Gulbenkian Art Library in Portugal. The smooth lines, the smell of the dusty ribbon, and the tap-tap-tap-ZIPPPP! of the action is stuck in my head from using typewriters through 1990. While I never used something as stylish as this thing back in the day, my Mom’s Underwood was quite a performer.

Hi Kurt!
Off-topic – but I posted a few of yr great spring flickrpics right now (at the new photoblog ilikephotoblog.wordpress.com) – with clickthrough to original picture. Hope this is ok w u, if not I’ll remove them at once… I always include credits under the picture on the main blog, but not this new “tumblr” thing, breaks w the genre sort of.

Oh wow. Thanks!! What a great blog; there’s some really beautiful shots. The Central Park one dated 4/23 is my fave so far.

Aw thanks back!! It’s a great way to share all the nice pics that are gathered from feeds and pinterest and lots of other places.
And the CP pic is a bit raw, with the trees, huh! The whole mix of highrises and wild nature never ceases to amaze.
